At First Congregational Church in Des Plaines
I can't believe how fast summer is flying by. I'm sure I say that every summer, but that doesn't make it less true. My family and I have been so grateful for all of the time we have been able to spend outside hiking, camping, swimming and playing.
One super special thing that I love about summer is Outdoor Yoga at First Congregational Church in Des Plaines. I love this space so much and am so happy we can help support the amazing community at this church with our classes.
Practicing yoga outside is not perfect.
During a typical class you can expect some folks walking their dogs, bikes riding by, cars passing by, ants visiting your yoga mat and whatever else might come our way.
But we also get to enjoy the fresh air and the breeze. We can smile at strangers passing by, relax in the shade, see birds vising the trees in the church's front lawn, listen to the beautiful church bells, and connect with one another.
Practicing yoga outside is not perfect.
And neither am I. But I am here for all of the beauty that there is in this imperfect life.

Weather permitting, Outdoor Yoga has been on Thursdays 6-7pm this summer.
