New Studio Space, New Classes

I am thrilled to share with you that Twisted Tree Yoga has partnered with the Des Plaines Park District to offer a variety of new classes in a brand new studio space.

Welcome to Lakeview Center!

This space is the result of many people working together to bring a high quality yoga studio experience to the Des Plaines Park District community.

With large windows overlooking Lake Opeka, and the ability to open windows to let in the fresh air, this studio feels so spacious and bright.

Props! I am absolutely passionate about ensuring your yoga practice is right for you, and props help us find that.

The new studio at Lakeview Center is stocked with fresh cork blocks to bring the floor closer to you, long sturdy straps to help deepen your forward folds, large bolsters to support your restful poses and yoga mats in case you forget yours at home.

Also, one wall is lined with mirrors to help us with alignment in our yoga poses.

Important:

◆These classes are NOT available for Drop-in. You must register for the session in advance through Des Plaines Park District. You can do that in person at Prairie Lakes, or online if you have an account!

◆We are offering two shorter sessions (only 5 weeks long) so folks can give it a try without an overwhelming commitment.

Lakeview Center is located at

1177 Howard Ave, Des Plaines

(If you have dined at The Foxtail on The Lake, the studio entrance is just to the left of the restaurant entrance.)

There have been recent improvements made to the parking here to accommodate the growing number of guests.

We are just a few days away from these new classes starting.

I will admit I was worried we were rushing, not giving folks enough time to plan and register. I was concerned we were rolling this out too quickly. There are so many small details I am unsure of still (like "Where are guests hanging their coats? How do I operate the cool bluetooth sound system?")

And when I shared these hesitations with my friends and family they reminded me that it doesn't have to be perfect! It just needs to BE.

So here we are, my friends.

Imperfectly here, and ready to get in the studio with you.

What are you waiting for? This is your invitation!

With great love and deep gratitude,

Lindsay
